Department of Bio-Chemistry

Introduction

Department of Biochemistry started its journey when the college was established, with commencement of under graduate programme with 50 students. Post graduation programme was started from the year 1997 with head count of 26. Currently 115 students are doing their under graduate and post graduate programme. Twelve of our students become top 10 rank holders in the university which includes Rank NO.1 in the history of Biochemistry department. We have seven staff members in our department who has well trained and excellent skills. They are innovative and resourceful. During Jan-2016 we conducted national level seminar successfully and around 250 students participated from various colleges. We engaging our faculty excelling in research and excelling in teaching, our faculties are passionate about their disciplines and their role in both the lab and classroom. They engage students in the process of discovery and the contribution of new knowledge to their fields.
